Reporting Incidents Involving Memphis Safe Task Force Agents

This form was created in collaboration with Tennessee Immigrant and Refugee Rights Coalition, Advocates for Immigrant Rights, and the ACLU of Tennessee.

The First Amendment protects our right to speak freely, including by protesting and sharing information with others. It also protects our right to observe and record officers in public, and limits the government’s ability to punish, threaten, or intimidate you for exercising your rights. The Fourth Amendment limits the government’s ability to use violence and to gather information about you. This form is for members of the community to report incidents in and around Memphis that may violate these First and Fourth Amendment rights. Submissions through this form are monitored by lawyers and legal professionals who are collaborating to investigate and possibly file lawsuits against state, local, and federal law enforcement officials. If additional information is needed, we will contact you. If you submit information using this form, you are not committing to participation in any lawsuit and we are not committing to represent you. We will keep your name, address, phone number, and email address confidential unless you give us express permission to use it or unless we are ordered to turn it over by a court (although we will attempt to prevent any disclosure). This form does not contain legal advice and does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and the lawyers reviewing these submissions.
