Chattanooga Member Committee Designs New Family Preparedness Assets.
Our member committee in Chattanooga, Comité Caminos, recognized the need to help families prepare for crises, leading youth member Angie to design a poster encouraging families to stay informed, be prepared, and take action to minimize the impact should a crisis occur. This tool now hangs throughout the city, including on every public transit bus, thanks to our partnership with the Chattanooga Area Regional Transportation Authority (CARTA). Our poster design is also a finalist at the Othering & Belonging Conference hosted by UC Berkeley, where leaders from grassroots movements, research and academia, arts and culture, policymaking and government, philanthropy and business gather to foster inclusive, multiracial, pluralistic democracies.
