Nicholas was born in Arlington, TX, and spent his childhood moving throughout the United States. He holds a B.S. in History from Truman State University. Prior to TIRRC, he was a middle school teacher in Kansas City, MO and Nashville, TN, and became an advocate for the immigrant rights after witnessing the many hurdles that immigrant and refugee students face everyday in schools. Nicholas joined TIRRC in October of 2017 where he serves as Project Coordinator and is especially passionate about school accessibility for immigrant and refugee youth and their families.
