It's been almost three months since the president terminated the DACA program. Right now, 122 immigrant youth are losing their DACA every single day. Despite vast and growing bipartisan support for the Dream Act, Congress still hasn't taken action.
Time is running out for immigrant youth in Tennessee with just a few more weeks before Congress adjourns for the year and members come home for the holidays. That's why we're launching the 12 Days of Dream Action campaign.
Every day between today and December 8th, we're calling on Tennesseans to take action and urge our members of Congress to pass a clean Dream Act by Christmas. Some days, we're asking everyone to participate, and on other days we're asking specific groups of Tennesseans to speak up for the Dream Act (like faith leaders, educators, and moms).
3 Ways You Can Get Involved With the 12 Days of #DreamAction Campaign
- Download the toolkit. Check out our 12 Days of #DreamAction toolkit to see all the ways you can support the Dream Act between now and December 8th. In the toolkit you'll find information about each day’s actions and resources to help you participate. Share with your friends and family in Tennessee!
- RSVP on Facebook (and invite your friends!) We've created a Facebook event that will last all 12 days of the campaign. By RSVP'ing, you'll get reminders about ways to take action each day to support the Dream Act. RSVP and invite all of your friends!
- Start taking action on Tuesday (11/28) - call Senator Corker! We need to flood the phone lines of Senator Bob Corker to make sure he knows that Tennesseans support a clean Dream Act - and we need Congress to act by Christmas!
