Lindsey is a Nashville native who was raised just minutes from the TIRRC office in South Nashville. Experiencing the demographic changes of this new gateway city first-hand prompted her to get involved in the immigrant rights movement. She is fluent in English and Spanish and has studied and traveled extensively in Central and South America. She has her bachelor’s degree in Spanish Teaching from Lipscomb University and her master’s degree from Belmont University in Nonprofit Leadership, with an emphasis on leadership development and nonprofit operations. Initially a Generation Change intern in 2008, she came on staff as the Project Manager and helped build TIRRC’s fundraising and development program before transitioning to become the Operations Director in the Spring of 2013. Lindsey has played a key role in strengthening TIRRC’s organizational capacity and developing strategies for long-term sustainability, which she oversees in her role as Co-Executive Director.
