Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, Leah lived in Baltimore, MD, Tokyo, and Kagawa, Japan before relocating to Nashville for an Americorps position in 2010. Prior to joining TIRRC, Leah worked at the Tennessee Foreign Language Institute where she co-founded ESL to Go, a classroom-on-wheels that brings English classes to the apartments where refugees live. Leah served as Vice-Chair of the Nashville Task Force for Refugees and Immigrants from 2012-2014. She is currently the Co-chair of the Nashville Mayor’s New Americans Advisory Council, the Co-curator of Nashville Global Shapers, and is a founding board member of Parks at Kimbro Station. She received her Master of Arts in Civic Leadership from Lipscomb University in 2015. As TIRRC’s Development Director, Leah works to engage donors in supporting TIRRC's mission .
