The Director of Advocacy & Education oversees programs in the areas of policy research and advocacy, strategic communications and movement-building, and directly coordinates advocacy, education and training in the area of immigrant integration. The Director of Advocacy and Education also works closely with the Organizing Director to develop the educational components of the organization’s leadership development work and advance the issues and campaigns prioritized by the membership. Interns are not required to have experience, however, they must desire to gain real skills and have an interest in immigrant and refugee rights.</p>
<p>All internships are unpaid.</p>
<p>Requirements: Interns must be willing to work a minimum of 10 hours a week and commit to 3 months, 6 months, or a year with a specific TIRRC program. Interns must also be able to provide their own transportation.</p>
<p>Ideal applicants are those who enjoy building relationships with people from diverse backgrounds that are very motivated and work independently with little supervision.</p>

<p style="padding-left: 30px;">► Updating and keeping current our database of Welcoming contacts</p>

<p style="padding-left: 30px;">► Periodic phone conferencing, and very regular email communications with WTI&rsquo;s coordinating Team</p>
