What is TIRRC?

TIRRC is a statewide, immigrant and refugee-led collaboration whose mission is to empower immigrants and refugees throughout Tennessee to develop a unified voice, defend their rights, and create an atmosphere in which they are recognized as positive contributors to the state.

Become a Member of TIRRC today!

 

TIRRC is a membership organization. Members are what drives TIRRC forward and are involved in all areas of our work. Our members are responsible for electing the Board of Directors and deciding what the key issues and priority campaigns are that TIRRC will work on each year. Members also receive an invitation our annual Membership Convention, where we strategize for the coming year and celebrate the accomplishments of the past year.

Becoming a member is an important step in getting involved.

TIRRC offers two types of membership: Organizational and Family/ Individual

Organizational Membership 

Organizational membership is based on a sliding scale corresponding to the Organization's budget.

In addition to all of the benefits of individual membership for up to 4 members, as a member of TIRRC your organization will benefit from:

  • opportunities to participate in our Capacity Building Initiative
  • special customized trainings and organizational support
  • events publicized in TIRRC's monthly community calendar and newsletter
  • use of TIRRC's facilities and equipment
  • organizational information listed on the TIRRC website as a member with a link to your website

Family and Individual Membership 

Family and Individual Membership is free and includes the following benefits:

  • Invitation to the Annual Membership Convention and preferred access to all regional and statewide events and strategy sessions
  • Preferred access to member trainings in areas such as advocacy, community organizing, fundraising, media relations, and leadership development
  • TIRRC e-mail updates, action alerts and newsletters.
  • Voting privileges on priority issues and board members
  • A connection to the larger immigrant and refugee community across the state
